I live in a beautiful town in Kent
in England with my husband and two children. Most days I do a few chores and then settle down to write
or paint or both.
I've been writing on and off for about five years between spells of
painting and working as a management consultant. That's what I did for
over ten years before I started writing and it's still more than useful
for paying bills and providing the people interraction I need from time
to time. And I have also been a senior civil servant, an artist, a
stockbroker, a teacher and a fairy dress manufacturer. Add to that the
fact that I've spent an unreasonable amount of time at university,
studying physics, art history and herbal medicine, and you could
conclude that I've never really grown up properly. Maybe that's why I
write for children.
